The Hawaii Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying whoever was responsible for a theft at Wong Stadium on September 13.

The theft took place during a varsity football game between Hilo High School and Keaau High School.

Investigation by officers from the South Hilo district revealed that one or more unknown persons entered the home team locker room and removed several personal items belonging to members of the Hilo High School team. The combined value of the stolen items is estimated at $1,191.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
