Media Release (Update No. 2)

Autopsies performed on the victims of a double shooting confirmed a cause of death.

Based on the examination performed on Elaine Ahu, 74, the medical examiner ruled that the cause of her death was traumatic injuries to the head and brain as a result of a gunshot wound.

Based on the examination performed on her daughter, Rhonda Lynn Alohalani Ahu, 45, the medical examiner ruled that the cause of her death was traumatic injuries to the head and brain as a result of a gunshot wound.

The medical examiner confirmed both deaths as homicides.
