Hawai’i Police Department detectives are investigating a reported robbery in Hilo on October 15, 2009.

A 29-year-old man reported that two unknown local males approached him in the parking lot of Prince Kuhio Plaza. One of the men shoved him up against his vehicle and demanded his wallet.

The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The victim was not hurt in the incident.

Both suspects are described as being in their mid-to-late 20s, about 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4 and between 220 and 230 pounds. One had a stocky build and short buzzed-cut hair that may have been black.

Police ask that anyone with information on this robbery call Lieutenant Mitchell Kanehailua at 961-2252 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
