Big Island police are investigating an armed robbery in Ka’Å« on Tuesday (February 2).

Ka’Å« patrol officers responded to a 10:18 a.m. call that initially reported a home invasion robbery in progress in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision

A 52-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman reported that three men confronted them outside their home, threatened them with a knife and demanded marijuana. The victims ran away and the suspects entered the house, removed a camera bag and fled.

The suspects [corrected] were all described as being approximately 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 and 180 to 200 pounds. Two were described as local males and one was described as Caucasian. One of the local males was described as clean shaven and wearing black jeans, a black T-shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section will continue the investigation.
