The man who died August 2 from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle crash in Kaʻū has been identified as 39-year-old Clint A. Corfman of Kurtistown.

Responding to a 12:43 a.m. call, Kaʻū patrol officers determined that the victim was operating a 1987 Ford sedan and traveling southbound on Highway 11 midway between the 48- and 49-mile markers when he ran off the left side of the road, lost control and overturned.
