…charged with meth trafficking

Media Release

A North Kohala man has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking and other offenses.

On Friday (April 1), officers from the Area II Vice Section served a search warrant at the Kapa’au home of 58-year-old Kenneth Tomomitsu. Officers recovered 94.7 grams of packaged methamphetamine and associated paraphernalia, including digital scales and associated paraphernalia. They also recovered $10,920 in cash for forfeiture.

Tomomitsu was arrested and charged with first-degree meth trafficking, second-degree meth trafficking, second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. He was held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $69,000 bail pending his initial court appearance on Monday (April 4).
