Media Release

Big Island police are searching for a 2-year-old girl reported missing from her Hilo home since April 3. Her name is Cailey-Leigh Walker.

She may be in the company of her non-custodial mother, 19-year-old Casey-Leigh Sabate. Sabate is know to be staying on Maui in the Kihei area.

Sabate is described as Filipino-Hawaiian, 5-foot-3, about 135-140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tatoo of a flower and the word “Mom” on her upper right shoulder blade area.

The child is described as part Hawaiian, 2-foot-6, about 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about the whereabouts of either one to call Detective Grace Castillo at 961-2279 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
