…missing since October 17

Media Release

The Hawai’i Police Department is searching for a 12-year-old boy reported as missing from Hilo since Saturday (October 17).

Venantives J. Yug, also known as “Vinnie,” is described as Micronesian, 4-foot-11, about 120 pounds with a black flat-top military-type haircut and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, green swimming shorts and black slippers. He left his home on a blue bicycle, which was recovered in the downtown Hilo area on Sunday (October 18).

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
