Hawaii County police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who failed to return to her Kailua-Kona home on February 5.

Amethyst Nakea-Sizar is described as part Hawaiian, about 5-feet tall, about 100 pounds with a tan complexion, a small build, red or auburn hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in Kona but could be in Puna or Hilo.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call Acting Detective Walter Ah Mow at 326-4646, extension 265, or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
