Big Island police are searching for a 16-year-old boy who was reported missing.

Wayne Huihui was last seen January 31 in Kailua-Kona. He is described as 5-foot-8, about 140 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy black hair. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a black T-shirt, a black Volcom hat and a blue, gray and purple Billabong backpack. He may be in the Ocean View or Kona areas.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
