Big Island police are searching for an 18-year-old North Kohala woman who was reported missing on Wednesday (June 30).

Hanna Cowden, of Kapa’au, was last seen Monday (June 28) in Kona around 6 p.m. and was planning to hitchhike back to North Kohala. She has not been heard from or seen since.

Cowden is described as being approximately 5-foot-5, 120 pounds with a light complexion, short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue-and-white striped top and blue jeans with a silver belt.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call Officer John Kahalioumi in North Kohala at 889-6540 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
