Hilo Detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred in Keaau on Monday (June 9).

At approximately 3 p.m., Puna patrol officers responded to a call of a robbery at a home in the Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision of the Puna District.

It was reported that four men wearing masks and brandishing a knife entered the property of a 60-year-old man and demanded cash and marijuana. The four suspects left the home with marijuana plants and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The victim, who holds a State of Hawaii medical marijuana permit, was not injured during the robbery.

The suspects were identified as four local males, aged 25 to 30 years old, who were wearing masks and long-sleeved shirts.

Police ask anyone with any further information about the case to call Detective Ian Lee Loy at 961-2381 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
