Puna Community Policing, in conjunction with the Hawaiian Beaches Action Team, Ken’s Towing and The Salvation Army, will be conducting a DUI Awareness sign waving project on Friday, November 6, 2009 beginning at 10:00 a.m., fronting the Malama Market in Pāhoa. The sign waving project wants to raise awareness about the dangers of driving while intoxicated. There are several other sign waving projects planned for the district prior to the upcoming holidays.
