Media Release (update No. 3)

Hawaiʻi Island police have charged the suspect who was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing Tuesday afternoon (November 5) in the Eden Roc subdivision.

After conferring with prosecutors, detectives charged 34-year-old David True Seal of Mountain View with second-degree murder at 3 p.m. Thursday (November 7).

He is being held without bail at the Hilo police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday (November 8).

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the exact cause of death of the victim, 32-year-old Rory Thompson Wick of Mountain View.
