Media Release

The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man in connection with a burglary reported in Puna on January 10. According to the victim, the man entered a home and assaulted her with a weapon. Police are seeking 50-year-old Adolfo Bataluna Bustamante. 

Bustamante is described as 5-foot-6, 155 pounds, with a medium build, white long hair worn in a ponytail, brown eyes and dark complexion.  

Police ask that anyone knowing his whereabouts call Detective Lorenzo Artienda at 961-8839 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
