MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Police have identified a woman whose body was found floating in the water April 18, 2000, near the second bridge of Honolii Pali.

Through her fingerprints, police identified the victim as Annette Denise Clark, 29, of a Pukihae Street address in Hilo.

Autopsy results determined the cause of death was from multiple traumatic injuries consistent with a fall from a height.

Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives said there was no evidence of foul play in the woman’s death, and the case has been reclassified from a coroner’s inquest to a suicide.
