Media Release

Hilo detectives are requesting the public’s help in identifying a man photographed by a surveillance camera at the scene of several car break-ins on Kukila Street. One vehicle was also removed from the scene, but was later recovered. The thefts occurred between 8 p.m. December 18 and 6 a.m. December 19.

Police ask that anyone who recognizes the individual or has any information on this case call Detective John Rodrigues at 961-2382 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.  Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
