Media Release

The most recent edition of the Crime Stoppers television program “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” highlights a Puna man wanted on several warrants and a Ka’u  man wanted on an all-points bulletin in connection with stolen checks.

The new episode begins airing Friday, December 3. In it, police ask for the public’s help in locating 34-year-old Aaron Nobriga, who is wanted on several warrants, including one for parole revocation. He is described as 5-foot-10, 155 pounds with a slim build. In addition to the warrants, Nobriga is being sought in connection with three other cases. He may be armed and dangerous. The public is advised that if they see him, they should not attempt to detain him but instead should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

The television program also asks for help in locating 33-year-old Wesley Sudbury of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. Sudbury is wanted on an all-points bulletin in connection with stolen checks that were cashed at a Kona bank. He is described as Caucasian, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with blue eyes, long blond hair and a medium beard.

In this latest edition of “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted,” which was prerecorded, Officer Patrick Menino also asks for help in locating 27-year-old Casey Matheson of Kailua-Kona, but he is no longer wanted. Police arrested him November 18 on bench warrants in connection with grand jury indictments for 20 felony drug charges and one petty misdemeanor.

Police ask that anyone with information about Nobriga or Sudbury call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential. Crime Stoppers does not tape record phone calls or subscribe to caller ID.

“Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” is a project of Crime Stoppers Hilo, Inc., which is a partnership of the business community, the media and the police. It was inspired by the national TV show, “America’s Most Wanted.” The program airs on Na Leo O Hawaii Community Television Channel 54 on Sundays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. It also airs intermittently on Channel 53.
