HI-PAL basketball jam to be held in Kona 12-09-03

The Hawaii Isle Police Activities League will hold its 14th annual HI-PAL, Hope Chapel and Keauhou Shopping Center 3-on-3 Basketball Jam next month.

The basketball tournament will be held on the weekend of January 17-19, 2004, at the Keauhou Shopping Center’s outdoor parking lot. Sign-ups for the event will be accepted through Monday, January 5, 2004.

The league’s age group divisions are 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 12 & Under Girls and 14 & Under Girls. Each team will be limited to five players. Because of the limited space available, teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anyone interested in signing up a team is asked to call the West Hawaii HI-PAL office at 326-4276 or page Officer Joseph Kealoha at 899-9205.
