During the Hawaiʻi Isle Police Activities League (HI-PAL) 2012 “Click It or Ticket” 3-on-3 basketball tournament held August 10-12 at the Panaʻewa covered courts, 118 youth from 27 teams participated in 61 games.

These were the winning teams:

High School Division—Pāhoa #3.

9-10 Division—Warriors (from Kamehameha Schools)

7-8 Division—Fearless Hawaiian #1 (from Panaʻewa)

11-12 Division— HD (from Honokaʻa)

13-14 Division— N-One #1 (from Waiakea)

In conjunction with the games, display boards depicted seat belt use, laws, fines and non-graphic photographs of accidents.

“Click It or Ticket” is a nationwide campaign to educate drivers and passengers on the use of seat belts and child restraints and on the fines associated with non-compliance.
