The Hawaiʻi Police Department is hosting the HI-PAL “Click it or Ticket” 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on July 20 to 22, 2012 in Laupāhoehoe at the Pāpaʻaloa Gymnasium. This is part of the “Click It or Ticket” series of basketball tournaments.

Team entries are being accepted in the following age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 High School Boys, Girls 10 & Under, Girls 12 & Under, Girls 14 & Under and High school Girls. The age cut off date is December 31, 2012.

Deadline for teams to enter is July 13, 2012. Each team will be required to complete a registration packet which must be submitted by July 13, 2012.

Teams interested in participating or anyone requesting additional information may call Officer Joseph Botelho, Jr. in East Hawaii at 961-2220 or Officer Randy Morris in West Hawaii at 326-4646, extension 258 or 936-2789.

In addition to the tournament, the Hawaiʻi Police Department will have information available on safe driving and seat belt usage.

“Click It or Ticket” is a national education and enforcement campaign to increase seat belt usage and decrease traffic fatalities and injuries. The Hawaiʻi Police Department encourages all youth, teens, and adults to use their seat belts.
