Hawaii County police are looking for a 16-year-old boy who has been missing from his residence in Hilo since November 30, 2002.

The missing youth was identified as Stephen Whitney who is also wanted for a probation violation, unsworn falsification and escape.

Whitney is described as being Hawaiian, being 5-feet-6 in height, weighing about 150 pounds and having a tan complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Detective John Ancheta of the Hilo Police Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2276 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
