Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for a burglary at the Sunrise Ridge Subdivision off Kukuau Street in Hilo on Thursday (November 1).

The victim returned home and observed an unknown male standing on her property. Upon seeing the victim, the suspect fled in a westerly direction and into the bushes.

After calling police, the victim observed broken glass near the rear entrance of her home.

Police arrived on scene and conducted a search for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call Officer Louie Ondo at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
