Big Island police have renewed their request for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from her Hilo home since November 3, 1999.

The missing girl, Rachel Balbin, is described as being Caucasian, being 5 feet in height, weighing about 85 pounds and having long straight black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Balbin’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective John Ancheta of the Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2276 or the police emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
