A Hilo home was destroyed by a fire of undetermined origin Friday (October 3, 2003).

Responding to a 1:32 p.m. call, Hilo firefighters arrived to find the two-story post-and-pier house on Country Club Drive completely engulfed in flames.

No one was at home at the time of the blaze, and no one was injured in the fire.

The house was declared a total loss, and damages were estimated at $410,000.

Fire investigators are continuing an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
