A 69-year-old Hilo man died Tuesday (July 18, 2000) of injuries he suffered in a one-car accident.

The victim was identified as Robert W. Mushlitz, of a Kinoole Street address.

Responding to a 1:32 p.m. call, police officers determined that Mushlitz was traveling south on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) when he lost control of his 1987 Lincoln Town Car, which struck a concrete column of the Papaikou overpass fronting Kalanianaole School.
