The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in a property damage investigation. According to the victim, his red 2005 Ford Ranger pickup truck tailgate was keyed while parked near the Garden Section of the Hilo Wal-Mart store on December 1, 2009, at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the vehicle being damaged to call Officer Colin Pacheco at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
