MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

The results of an autopsy conducted Tuesday (May 18, 1999) show that Randolph Hall died of gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

Hall, 37, of a Hilo address, was shot to death Saturday after a dispute involving a love triangle at an Auwae Street farm lot in Hilo’s Panaewa area.

Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives charged Van Kahumoku, 49, of Mountain View, Puna, with second-degree murder, terroristic threatening, place to keep firearms, carrying or use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony and promoting detrimental drugs in the third degree.
