Edward Delos Santos
…arrested for meth trafficking and other drug offenses

Media Release (update)

Big Island police have arrested and charged a second suspect with meth trafficking in connection with the service of a search warrant last week on 40th Avenue in Orchidland.

Edward Delos Santos, 47, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Thursday (June 12). After consultation with prosecutors, police charged him with methamphetamine trafficking, promoting a dangerous drug and two counts of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $8,000 bail.

Vice officers served a search warrant on June 5 on the Orchidland property and recovered approximately four ounces of crystal methamphetamine. Five persons were arrested. The following day one suspect, Bill Shane Vierra, was charged with meth trafficking and other drug offenses. He was later released after posting $12,500 bail.

Officers were still seeking Delos Santos, who also lived on the property. He was located today (June 12) in Hilo.
