Kapiolani to Be One-way Sunday Afternoon 09-11-01

MEDIA RELEASE

Only one-way traffic will be allowed on Kapiolani Street in Hilo during the afternoon hours of Sunday (September 16, 2001).

To accommodate the annual parish picnic held by St. Joseph Church, only traffic heading in the Puna, or southerly, direction will be allowed between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m. on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street. During these hours, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani.

After 5 p.m., traffic will return to its normal two-way pattern.
