Kapiolani traffic to be one-way on Easter weekend 02-14-03

The Hawaii County Police Department will create a special temporary one-way traffic flow in the southerly, or Puna, direction on Kapiolani Street during Easter observances in April.

The rerouting of traffic was made at the request of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church to improve the traffic flow during its East season activities.

The one-way traffic flow, between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Streets, will take place during the following times and dates:

  • 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2003.
  • 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2003.
  • 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2003.

During these time periods, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani Street.
