Big Island police are investigating a burglary in Ka’u.

Sometime between October 21 and October 26, several items were taken from a home in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision, including electronics, tools and handcrafted koa items. The stolen items were valued at $4,000.

Police ask that anyone with information about the burglary or the location of the stolen items call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
