Ka’u police are asking for the public’s help in recovering Hawaiian heirloom jewelry taken in the burglary of a Hawaiian Ocean View Estates residence on Tuesday (March 11, 2003).

Besides the heirloom bracelets, the burglar also stole about 40 DVD’s and a Sony Play Station 2 with assorted games.

The heirloom bracelets are inscribed with the name “Kanani.”

Anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen items is asked to call Officer Donald R. Hall of the Ka’u Patrol at 939-2520 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
