Police are looking for a male suspect believed responsible for burglaries, theft, assault and an outstanding bench warrant for contempt of court.

The suspect was identified as Tyson Kyle Prim, 27, who is known to frequent the Holualoa area of North Kona.

Prim is described as being a Caucasian, being 5-foot-11 in height, weighing about 190 pounds and having short brown hair. He is also described as having numerous tattoos, including one on his neck, a large cross on his right arm, the word “Lord” on the back of his left arm and the word “knows” on the back of his right arm.

Police said the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. They caution residents not to approach the suspect, but to call police immediately.

Anyone who sees the suspect or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
