MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Criminal Investigation detectives Saturday charged a 25 year old man with second degree Reckless Endangering, Ownership Prohibited, third degree Promoting Dangerous Drugs, and Drug Paraphernalia.

The suspect, Randall Hatori, is being held at the Kona Police Station cellblock in lieu of $9,500.00 bail.

Investigation determined that the suspect after getting into an altercation in the old industrial area in Kailua with several people fired a handgun into the air and then fled the scene. A subsequent search by police of the area located the suspect; the handgun used at the incident and narcotics were later recovered.
