Kona Stabbing Investigation 04-02-06

MEDIA RELEASE

On April 2, 2006 at 1:05 a.m., Kona Patrol Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Upon arrival officers found that a 33 year-old male had sustained a number of stab-wounds in the area of his back, at the time he was responsive and was transported to the Kona Community Hospital where he remains confined in critical condition.

An attempted murder investigation has been initiated and Kona Criminal Investigation Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
