Big Island police are searching for a 15-year-old girl reported missing from her Hilo home since July 19, 2006.

Her name is Kawailani Awana. She is described as Hawaiian, 4-foot-11, about 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Officer B J Duarte of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2278 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
