…missing since September 21

Media Release

The Hawaii Police Department is looking for a 17-year-old girl reported missing.

Riva Alves of Waikoloa failed to return home on September 21. She is described as part Hawaiian, 5-foot-5, about 136 pounds with a tan complexion, medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen in the Waikoloa area but she could also be in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates or Mountain View.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call Detective Scott Kurashige at 326-4646, extension 265, or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
