Big Island police are searching for a 45-year-old woman who was reported missing.

Lanae “Kamakea” Carter was last seen on March 18 on O’ahu and may be living on the streets on that island. Her last known address on the island of Hawai’i was on Kealakehe Street in Kailua-Kona.

Carter is described as African-American, 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds. She walks with a cane.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
