A Ka’u patrol officer was arrested early Tuesday (February 6, 2001) after a domestic dispute in which his estranged wife was injured.

The suspect, Warren Won Ho Ke, 38, was charged with abuse of a household member. Ke was arraigned Tuesday in Kona District Court and freed on supervisory release. He will face a jury trial at a later date.

The suspect was arrested after his wife, 38, was injured in a struggle that occurred about 4:30 p.m. Monday at Honomalino, South Kona. An investigation indicates the woman suffered cuts and bruises when she was pushed to the ground.

The victim was taken to the Kona Community Hospital, where she was treated and released.

At 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect was arrested at a bed and breakfast establishment in the Hawaiian Ranchos subdivision of Ka’u. At 6 a.m., he was charged at the Kona police station and taken into custody.
