Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives Wednesday (April 19, 2000) charged a Hilo patrol officer on leave with terroristic threatening.

The officer, Sean C. Kobayashi, 34, of Hawaiian Paradise Park in Puna, is currently on leave without pay from the Hawaii County Police Department.

He was charged at 12:57 p.m. with first-degree terroristic threatening for allegedly leaving a threatening message on a telephone answering machine in an incident involving a domestic dispute.

Kobayashi was arrested Monday on one count of terroristic threatening and two counts of harassment.

Kobayashi is being held on $10,000 bail. Hilo CIS detectives are continuing the investigation.
