The Hawaii Police Commemorative Fund has announced the recipients of $500 scholarships established in memory of two Hawaii County police officers killed in the line of duty.

The recipients, both Hawaii Community College students, are:

  • Christine Lominario, who received the “Kenneth Keliipio Memorial Scholarship.”
  • Patricia Oliveira, who received the “Ronald Jitchaku Memorial Scholarship.”

Information about the fund’s $500 scholarships at the Hawaii Community College and $1,200 scholarships at the University of Hawaii at Hilo can be obtained by calling the university’s Financial Aid Department at 974-7663.
