Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the hospitalization of a 2-month-old Hōlualoa boy.

On Wednesday (February 19), the Area II Juvenile Aid Section was notified by Child Welfare Services in Honolulu that the infant had been taken by a family member to Kona Community Hospital Tuesday night (February 18) and then flown to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu on Wednesday morning.

Detectives from the Juvenile Aid Section have initiated an abuse case.
