Big Island police are looking for a 16-year-old boy who has been missing from his Pahoa residence in Puna since May 17, 2003.

The missing youth was identified as Leonard Franklin Jr.

Franklin is described as being a Caucasian, being 5-foot-5 in height, weighing about 125 pounds and having a slim build, fair complexion, brown hair and hazel eyes. He may also have shaved his head and has numerous tattoos.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Kualii of the East Hawaii Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
