MEDIA RELEASE

Ka’u police are looking for a 25-year-old man who escaped from police custody on Wednesday (September 3, 2003).

The escapee was identified as Nathaniel Davis, of a Naalehu address in the Ka’u District.

Davis is described as being six feet tall, weighing about 140 pounds and having short brown hair and brown eyes. He is also described as having numerous tattoos.

Davis, who escaped from police custody in the Manuka State Park area of Ka’u, is also wanted on a warrant for revocation of parole and for other pending investigations.

Police said he is possibly still in the Ka’u District, but his exact whereabouts is unknown.

Anyone with information about Davis’ whereabouts is asked to call Sergeant James Gusman of the Ka’u Patrol at 939-2520 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
