Big Island police are looking for a 14-year-old boy who has been reported missing from his Waikoloa residence since November 7, 2003.

The boy was identified as Daniel Akau. Akau is described as being a Hawaiian, being 5-foot-5 in height, weighing about 135 pounds with a slim build and having a dark complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Scott Kurashige of the West Hawaii Juvenile Aid Section at 326-4233 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
