Police seek help catching persons responsible for graffiti 05-19-06

North Kohala Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals responsible for spraying painting several Kapaau business establishments with graffiti.

On Friday (May 19, 2006) at about 6:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of a business that had black graffiti on its walls. While investigating the report, officers observed similar graffiti on at least seven other businesses or signs in the Kapaau area. Police believe the criminal property damage was done between 3:00 a.m. and 5:40 a.m.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Officer Eric Uehana or Officer Davy Kamalii at 889-6540, or the police non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
