Police are on the lookout for a 31-year-old man for allegedly violating a temporary restraining order, breaking into a Hilo home and firing a shot into the ceiling.

The suspect was identified as Anthony Carvalho, of no permanent address.

Carvalho is described as being of Hispanic descent, being 5-foot-5 in height, weighing about 115 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be in the Wainaku area.

Investigating South Hilo patrol officers determined that on Wednesday (August 3, 2005), Carvalho allegedly entered a residence on Pohai Street, fired a rifle into the ceiling, then pointed it at one of the three residents and finally left in a white Ford Explorer, which police later recovered. No one was injured in the incident,

Anyone with information on Carvalho’s whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
