Puna Burglary investigation 10-18-05

Big Island police are investigating a reported burglary which occurred in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision in Kurtistown, during the last week of August 2005.

A man reported that while he was away from home, someone entered his residence and removed two firearms, two ivory chess sets and substantial amount of gold coins, gold nuggets, gold bars, silver coins and silver bars. Police are not releasing the total value of the items taken at this time.

Detectives assigned to the East Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section are handling this investigation.
