Charged with kidnapping and abuse

MEDIA RELEASE

A Pepeekeo man is in police custody in lieu of $12,000 bail for allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will Wednesday (July 12, 2006) and abusing her.

The victim reported that she was attempting to get into a vehicle with relatives at a home in the >>Hawaiian> >Paradise> >Park>> subdivision in Puna when her live-in boyfriend pulled her by the hair, threatened her and forced her into his own vehicle. He then reportedly struck her in the head and face, kicked her in the stomach and ordered her to remove her clothes and stand outside.

Police arrested Stefanus Leucio Ifenuk, 48, of Pepeekeo at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged him with kidnapping and abuse of a family/household member.
